Briefing of IFM 2020
The 21st International ForgeMasters Meeting will be held by Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry from 10 to 16, September, 2021 in Chengdu, P. R. China.
Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, in the west of Sichuan Basin, is the economy central city in southwest part of China. Chengdu is an important national high-tech industry and an important global electronic and information industry base, it is a commercial logistics Center and integrated transportation hub.
Chengdu is a famous historical and cultural city in China. It is the birthplace of ancient Shu civilization and one of the ten ancient capitals in China. The engraving printing was invented in Chengdu, and it was first used in the world. The world's first paper currency–Jiaozi also was employed in Chengdu. There are many historical sites such as Jinsha Ruins, Dujiangyan, Wuhou Temple and Dufu Caotang in Chengdu and it is one of the best tourism cities of China.
Chengdu is located in the humid subtropical region, with complex topography, diverse natural ecological environment and abundant biological resources. There are rare animals under state protection include giant pandas, small pandas, golden monkeys, budorcas taxicolor, etc. in Chengdu, and where have established the research bases for the conservation of rare and endangered wildlife such as giant pandas.
